In a horrific incident, a women brutally murdered her 5-year-old kid and prepares a portion of his head and consumes it. Hanaa Mohamed Hassan is a 29 years old who has been charged with the premeditated murder of her son Youssef, will now stand trial after the Egyptian Public Prosecution found she does not have any mental illnesses.
According to reports, she struck his head three times with a machete. Then, in an effort to remove any evidence she dismembered his body but she was caught before she could bury the pieces.
Reportedly, Hassan fried her son’s head and other body parts on the hob in boiling water before eating them. The victim’s uncle found out about the crime when he found buckets filled with body parts at the family house in Abu Shalabi, Ash Sharqiyah Governorate. Further inquiry revealed that Hassan perpetrated this heinous deed in order to deny her ex-husband’s family access to Youssef or any opportunity for visitation privileges.
Investigation results showed Hassan did not have any mental disorder and had not used any drugs that would have impacted her state of mind. She admitted that she had consumed a portion of her son’s head in order to keep him by her side forever. The horrifying scene, according to Hassan’s ex-husband, H.A., prohibited him from seeing his son. He had made attempts to get back together and stay in touch with their child despite their separation before four years but Hassan had aggressively resisted them and nurtured enmity.
According to H.A., his son served as a link between him and Hassan and he had always met the boy’s requirements. But over time, Hassan estranged their son and fostered resentment in the boy towards the father making it harder for him to see his child. Hassan explained her intentions to the police, saying that she wanted to be set free and get revenge on the child’s father for trying to separate them repeatedly.
