Guwahati: In an unfortunate incident, a construction worker died after falling down a building in Tinsukia district of Assam.
The tragedy occurred at Digboi of the district.
According to reports, the deceased individual was employed on the second story of a building at Missionpara in Digboi. The owner of the building has been identified as Gopi Debnath.
The deceased worker has been identified as Yusuf Haque, a resident of Bogapani tea estate’s No. 36 line.
He was employed under a contractor named Sumit Pal. According to the allegations, no safety belts were given to the construction workers.
Yusuf was hospitalised after the incident at the Digboi Civil Hospital. However, he was declared dead by the doctors.
