Yaba Tablets Seized In Assam’s Karimganj, One Held
Guwahati: In the ongoing war against drugs in the state, Assam Police seized a huge quantity of illegal Yaba tablets in Karimganj district on Monday.
Moreover, the police officials further arrested one person in the connection.
The arrestee identified as Aasab Uddin, hailing from Patharkandi town in the district.
Based on specific input, a team of police conducted a raid at the house of the accused and recovered 30,000 Yaba tablets.
Following the seizure, Aasab Uddin was taken into custody.
Police officials informed that the market price of the recovered drugs is around Rs 3 crores.
Meanwhile, a legal proceeding has been initiated and an investigation to unearth further linkages is underway.
