Yomgo Riverfront Walkway: A New Jewel in Aalo’s Crown

Aalo, Arunachal Pradesh: In a move that promises to redefine the landscape of Aalo, Chief Minister Pema Khandu inaugurated the much-anticipated Yomgo Riverfront Walkway at Puak Ghat on Monday.

This stunning new infrastructure project, developed at an initial cost of Rs 4.95 crore, is set to elevate the town’s appeal as a tourist destination and enhance the quality of life for its residents.

The picturesque walkway offers a serene escape, providing a scenic backdrop for relaxation, exercise, and socializing. Equipped with modern amenities such as parking, public utilities, and illumination, the walkway prioritizes safety and accessibility.

“This is more than just a walkway; it’s a symbol of our commitment to progress and the well-being of our people,” said CM Khandu. “It’s a testament to our resilience and shared vision for a vibrant, prosperous community.”

However, the project faced numerous challenges, including rising river levels, land disputes, and natural calamities. Despite these hurdles, the dedication of all stakeholders ensured its timely completion.

To further enhance the walkway’s appeal, additional funds have been allocated for supplementary work, including extending the retaining wall and RRM structures. A proposal for a parking facility, walkway extension, and sit-out areas is also under consideration.

The Yomgo Riverfront Walkway is poised to become a beloved landmark, attracting visitors and boosting local businesses. As Aalo continues to evolve, this stunning new attraction promises to leave a lasting legacy.
