Young Woman Rescued from Human Trafficking in Guwahati
Guwahati, 31st August: A young woman was successfully rescued in Guwahati’s Maligaon area after she managed to escape from a red-light area in Kishanganj, Bihar, where she had become a victim of human trafficking.
Sources indicate that the woman had fled from the red-light area, where she had been trapped in a human trafficking network. It is reported that a month earlier, a young man from Guwahati had lured her, who is originally from Nagaon, with a fake job offer. However, he abducted her and sold her into the illicit trade.
The victim shared that several other young women were similarly trapped in the red-light area in Kishanganj.
This rescue operation underscores the critical need to combat human trafficking and safeguard vulnerable individuals from falling victim to such criminal activities.
