Guwahati, 5th April: In yet another tragic incident, a youth allegedly died by suicide by jumping into the waters of the River Brahmaputra on Friday morning.
The distressing incident occurred when the youth purportedly leaped off the Saraighat bridge, situated on the outskirts of Guwahati city, and drowned.
As of now, the identity of the deceased individual remains unknown, pending official confirmation.
The circumstances leading to the youth’s decision to take such a drastic step are yet to be determined.
Following the incident, the boat police initiated swift action and launched a search operation. After a brief period, they located the lifeless body of the youth in the river.
While the authorities continue their investigation into the matter, the community mourns the loss and awaits further developments to shed light on the tragic event.
