Guwahati: A youth tragically succumbed to his injuries after jumping off a moving train on Tuesday in Nalbari district of Assam.
The incident reportedly took place near Kaithalkuchi village of the district.
The victim was identified as Hemen Barman.
The incident occurred while he was travelling from Morigaon to Kaithalkuchi.
Meanwhile, it has come to the fore that the youth had mistakenly boarded the Brahmaputra Mail train, which would not stop at Kaithalkuchi station.
He reportedly attempted to jump off the train since it wouldn’t stop, but he was injured. He had received severe injuries, so he was taken immediately to the hospital.
However, medical staff at Nalbari Civil Hospital pronounced him dead.
