Guwahati: An argument between two youths in Noonmati area of Guwahati got violent after one of them hit the other with a sharp machete.
Officers from the Noonmati Police arrived on the scene as soon as they received a call reporting an attack in the area.
The injured youth has been identified as Rajen Musahary while the other Jugeswar Medhi has been arrested vby the police in connection to the case.
The injured kid has been sent to Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) for further treatment.
There are further studies under progress.
Earlier, a young man wielding a sharp machete killed an 18-year-old woman following a domestic disagreement in Assam’s Karimganj.
The incident occurred in Dalgram village of Karimganj.
The deceased have been identified as Munwara Begum who was a first-year Higher Secondary (HS) student at Kaliganj Public Higher Secondary School.
The deceased’s father informed that she had been recently promoted to HS second year.
