Guwahati: One more dead body recovered in Assam and this time a body of a 19-year-old girl has been recovered under mysterious circumstances in a pond in Morigaon district today.
The body has recovered from the Guripathar village in Jagiroad of the district.
The deceased has been identified as Pooja Das and she was a resident of the same village.
As per the sources of MyNewsNE, she was missing from yesterday and today the locals recovered her body from a pond.
It may be mentioned that locals first spotted her shoes at the edge of the pond and after that they informed the police officials. Later the police reached the spot and recovered the body.
Meanwhile, the locals are demanding a fare investigation into the matter to the police and to take exemplary action against the perpetrators of the crime.
Moreover, police are now interrogating and further investigation into the matter is underway.
