Government Employees of Tripura to get 3% Increment

An important meeting of the Tripura state cabinet was held at Agartala Mahakaran on Thursday where the Education and Law Minister Ratan Lal Nath of Tripura discussed on the important decisions taken in this cabinet meeting. On the same day, the Education Minister said that it has been decided to give 3% increment to the government employees of the state.

On the meeting Ratan Lal Nath said the government employees get increments once a year in January or July. According to him, there are 99,149 regular government employees whose salaries are being billed through the HRMS portal. To give this 3% increment, the additional expenditure of the state government will be 139 crore 32 lakh 80 thousand rupees. The state government will also spend 28 crore 49 lakh 80 thousand rupees additionally on this increment subject.

The Education Minister said that the state government has taken this decision in the interest of the employees considering all the financial constraints. Regarding Covid-19, he said that the total sample collection is 99,767 in the state and so far in the state of Tripura total cases has increased to 2,499 in the state. He also lauded the efforts of Doctors as the level of recovery of the patient is much higher in Tripura.
