2.5 Crore looted from bank of AMTRON in Assam

Guwahati: Nearly 2.5 crore has been looted from the bank account of Assam Electronics Development Corporation Limited (AMTRON).

According to reports, cybercrime miscreants have allegedly looted Rs 2.57 crore by hacking the AMTRON bank account.

The accounts officer of the company identified as Rahul Huzuri has been detained by the Assam Police’s CID for questioning in it headquarter.

As per reports, the amount was sent to company name Tarasis but after sending the amount, it was received by the Panzabar branch of Maharashtra on November 8.

Reports claimed that a mail has been sent to bank authorities from the mail id of Huzuri on the same day. Huzuri stated that his email account was hacked of which he was unaware.

It may be mentioned that the AMTRON officials said that they were not informed regarding the transaction of such a massive amount.
