Guwahati: Two militants were gunned down by Indian Army in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The incident occurred in the Balakote sector.
The terrorists were shot and killed on Saturday after a nightlong operation.
The military reportedly opened fire after spotting a suspicious movement near the Line of Control (LoC) in the Balakote sector.
The area was also subjected to a significant search operation before the insurgents were defeated.
The bodies of terrorists who had been killed were found when the army began a search operation in the region this morning.
According to the Army, the entire region has been cordoned off and anti-terror operations are in progress.
