In a shocking and horrendous incident, it has been reported that around 20 nos. of wild elephants were reportedly died after being struck by lightning yesterday night in the Kathiatoli range in the Nagaon district of Assam.
Sources say that Forest officials have been able to recover the carcass of only four elephants till now. Search for the remaining carcasses is underway.
However, a few nature lovers suspect the incident to be the work of some miscreants and demanded CBI inquiry into this matter.
