Guwahati: In the most recent development, three doctors have been granted bail in connection to the unnatural death of a minor girl in Dhula in Darrang district of Assam.
The three doctors are Dr. Arun Ch. Deka, Dr. Ajanta Bordoloi and Dr. Anupam Sharma.
They were granted by the Gauhati High Court on Tuesday.
All three of the doctors at the Mangaldoi Civil Hospital had been arrested for fabricating the death of the minor girl as a suicide
The investigations undertaken showed that the three doctors made a number of errors and omissions when doing the initial post-mortem on the deceased person.
However, it was determined during the second post-mortem performed by high-level medical teams from the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), AIIMS, and NEIGRIHMS that the child had been abused and murdered and that her death was not a suicide.
