3 Including Child Killed In Wild Elephants Attack In Assam
Guwahati: Yet another incident of man-animal conflict has come to fore wherein at least three people including a child were killed and two others sustained severe injuries after they were attacked by a herd of wild elephants in Goalpara district of Assam on Thursday.
This was informed by Dhruba Dutta, the forest range officer of Lakhipur.
The incident took place on the Lakhipur-Agia road of the Lakhipur forest range in the Goalpara district.
The elephants also caused damage to two vehicles.
Dhruba Dutta said three persons, including a child, were killed after the elephant herd attacked two vehicles.
“Two others were also injured. They were rushed to a hospital,” he added.
