3 Men Dies in Bid to Rescue Hen From Well in Assam’s Cachar

Guwahati, 20th May: In a heart-wrenching turn of events, three individuals lost their lives in Cachar’s Lakhipur while attempting to rescue a hen trapped in a well. The victims, identified as Amit Sen, Manjeet Deb, and Prasenjit Deb, found themselves caught in a series of unfortunate circumstances late on Sunday night.

The ordeal began when Prasenjit Deb bravely ventured into the well to rescue the stranded bird. Tragically, he succumbed to suffocation, leading his brother, Manjeet Deb, to follow suit in a desperate bid to save him.

As the situation escalated, villagers hurried to the scene, eager to aid the trapped siblings. Satyalal Deb, the distressed father, and a local named Amit Sen courageously entered the well to rescue them. Despite their heroic efforts, they too fell victim to suffocation.

Although Satyalal Deb was successfully pulled out of the well by fellow villagers, Amit Sen and the two brothers, Manjeet Deb and Prasenjit Deb, remained trapped, their lives tragically cut short in the attempt to save a helpless hen.
