300 Companies Of Security Forces To Be Deployed in Tripura ahead of assembly polls
Guwahati: A huge number of central paramilitary forces will be deployed during the 2023 state assembly elections, which will take place in Tripura.
According to reports, 300 companies of central forces will be stationed in Tripura in an effort to maintain law and order during the approaching assembly elections.
The deployment of security forces is apparently scheduled to start the next week, according to information provided by the election commission today.
Additionally, it was said that the paramilitary troops would be sent despite the fact that “no specific security danger” had been found in the area.
However, state-wide security would be stepped up as a measure to guarantee free and fair assembly elections in Tripura.
Meanwhile, it has come to the fore that around 100 companies of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Border Security Force (BSF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) will be deployed across the state in initial stages.
According to the report, 200 more companies will eventually settle in the state.
It should be noted that similar numbers of security personnel were deployed to the state during the 2018 assembly elections to ensure a smooth electoral process.
