Gangtok: A tragic road accident occurred near Tingring-Gerethang under Sikkim’s Yuksam-Tashiding constituency, on January 17, claiming the lives of five people.
The accident took place early morning when an Alto vehicle reportedly plunged into a cliff, resulting in the loss of lives.
This incident is the second fatal road accident in Sikkim within a month. Earlier, on December 28, a mother and her two-year-old daughter from Kolkata died in a similar accident in Sikkim’s Pakyong District. Their vehicle plunged 400 meters down a steep slope on the Lamaten-Lungchok road, leaving five others severely injured.
