57.06 Percent Voter Turnout In Nagaland & 44.73 Percent Voter Turnout In Meghalaya Till 1PM
Guwahati: Voter participation in the Meghalaya Assembly elections was 44.73 percent up till 1 p.m. on February 27, according to the Election Commission of India (ECI).
The percentage of voter turnout was recorded at 26.26 per cent till 11 a.m.
Out of Meghalaya’s 60 Assembly districts, 36 are in the Khasi, Jaintia Hills region and 24 are in the Garo Hills region.
On the other hand, 57.06per cent of eligible voters cast ballots in the Nagaland Assembly elections up till 1 p.m. on February 27, according to the Election Commission of India (ECI).
Heavy security has been deployed in crucial constituencies to prevent any untoward incident.
Although a stray instance of violence has been recorded in the Bhandari Assembly constituency under the Wokha district.
Voters have been rushing to the polls since morning 6 am on February 27.
