6.6 Magnitude Earthquake Stops Football Match in Panama 

Guwahati: An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.6 struck Panama’s Pacific coastline on April 5, stated United States Geological Survey (USGS).

According to reports, there were no immediate reports of damage.

The earthquake occurred 72 kilometres south of Boca Chica in the province of Chiriqui. However, no demages were reported in  Costa Rica.

Players taking part in a local football match in Panama fell to the ground by the earthquake’s shock.

Following this, the game was stopped as the ground shook.

The earthquake was recorded at a depth of 10 kilometres below the surface of the earth, according to USGS.
