Guwahati: A helicopter carrying pilgrims to Kedarnath from Phata in Uttarakhand crashed on Tuesday.
Two pilots were among the six passengers who have been confirmed dead, making the death toll at least six. The helicopter was an Aryan Aviation property.
A management team departed in the background to dispatch relief and rescue personnel to the situation.
Aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia tweeted about the incident and stated that the issue is being closely watched.
“The helicopter crash in Kedarnath is extremely unfortunate. We are in touch with the State government to ascertain the magnitude of the loss, and are constantly monitoring the situation,” he said in a tweet.
