Guwahati: At least nine children fell ill due to suspected food poisoning at a school in Golaghat district of Assam on Wednesday.
The incident occurred at No. 2 Bengenakhowa Primary School.
According to reports, the children fell ill after eating lunch at school.
Following the incident, all of them received medical care and were admitted into Swahid Kushal Konwar Civil Hospital.
It needs to be mentioned that seven people died in a matter of only three days in April of this year as a result of eating deadly mushrooms in Dibrugarh district of Assam
All of them were rushed to the Assam Medical College Hospital (AMCH) but succumbed during treatment.
