Assam defeated Hyderabad by 2 runs in a nail-biting match in Syed Mustaq Ali Trophy tournament at the iconic Eden Gardens on Sunday. Batting first Assam scored a mediocre 159/5 in 20 overs. For Assam Riyan Parag scored a blistering 51 of 40 balls and Saahil Jain 31 of 19 balls also helped the Assam side.
Chasing 160, the Hyderabad team was in trouble as they lost quick wickets in the initial overs but at the end Tanay Thyagarajan 24 of 9 balls and Telukupalli Ravi Teja 24 of 11 balls gave the Hyderabad side hope but eventually Assam team had the last laugh.
