In a report released by the Union Health Ministry, Maharashtra, Punjab, Karnataka, Gujarat and Tamil Nadu collectively account for 71.10% of the 28,903 new COVID-19 cases reported in the last 24 hours.
The Union ministry further stated that 15 states and UTs including Andhra Pradesh, Assam and Uttarakhand did not report any COVID-19 deaths in the last 24 hours.
