Guwahati: Member of Parliament Hira Sarania alias Naba Sarania might soon join the Trinamool Congress.
Speaking to MyNews NE, Sarania said, “It is not yet confirmed if I would join the TMC but we are in talks. I have extended my support to the TMC and might support them in the upcoming elections.”He added, “I feel that if instead of Modi, Mamata Banerjee should be the PrimeMinister of India and we extend full support to this cause.
We have noticed that the parties in Assam over time have been working as a B-team of the ruling party and their actions seem to be benefiting the ruling party. So we need an alternative to those B-team parties.”Saraniafurther added that in the next elections, TMC will be the leading party in Assam.
A source from the TMC claimed that TMC might soon set up a strong base in Assam but things are yet to be confirmed on how the proceedings will take place.
