Guwahati: Crime Branch of Guwahati Police arrested three suspected gamblers for their alleged involvement in an IPL betting racket case on Monday.
Following intelligence inputs about the racket, the crime branch led by Assistant Commissioner of Police Numal Mahato launched an operation in various areas of the city and arrested three high-profile gamblers.
The accused were identified as Dipesh Bajoria, Raunak Bajoria, and Rajesh Jain.
The authorities further claimed that they have yet to bust another betting ring.
It may be mentioned that after conducting searches in different locations, the Assam police crime division busted multiple gambling establishments in Guwahati’s Fancy Bazar area.
