MLA KR Ramesh Kumar apologized for his comments on rape
Guwahati: The Congress MLA and ex-speaker KR Ramesh Kumar has apologized for his comments on rape on the Assembly floor on Thursday after facing criticism.
KR Ramesh Kumar made a controversial rape remark on the floor of the house with Speaker Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri who was laughing away at it. After such a comment made by him, he had faced criticism from all quarters including from within the Congress party. Syed Nasser Hussain, MP from Karnataka is the latest to have condemned the statement he said that KR Kumar shouldn’t have said such a thing when the Assembly was going on. After facing criticism for his comments, he apologized from his heart saying if his words have hurt the sentiments of women then he has no issues in apologizing.
