Guwahati: One of the accused of Sulii Deals case was arrested by Delhi police. The accused identified has Aumkareshwar Thakur, who is said to be the creator of the app, was nabbed from Madhya Pradesh’s Indore.
Following the inputs of Niraj Bishnor, the creator of Bulli Bai app the IFSO (Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operations) unit of the Special Cell arrested Aumkareshwar.
According to reports, 25-year-old Thakur confessed that the Sulli Deals app was created by him on GitHub in July 2021 in which photos of several Muslim women uploaded without their consent for a virtual “auction”.
It may be mentioned that there were more people involved in the Sulli Deals case and an FIR has also been registered by the Delhi Police in July 2021.
