Guwahati: The ruling Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) has registered a big victory in the urban body polls held in Assam.
BJP has won 75 of the 80 municipal boards while the Congress has won one in Assam.
However, Asom Gana Parishad (AGP), BJP’s ally won two boards.
The elections were held on March 6 for 977 wards in 80 municipal bodies in Assam.
