Guwahati: A body of a woman has been recovered in Jorhat district of Assam on Sunday.
The deceased woman has been identified as Sonia Bhumij who is a resident of Selenghat Haluwa village of Teok town.
The dead body was recovered by the locals from the Teok town of the district.
According to reports, the body has injury marks in her neck.
Reportedly, the locals spotted the body and informed the police officials. On getting information, the officials arrived at the spot and recovered the body.
However, police reached the site and sent the body for post mortem reports.
As per locals, the woman’s death was due to financial issues.
The lady reportedly went to the bank on Saturday, according to the residents.
Meanwhile, the lady’s family members claimed that she left the house talking over the phone after dinner on Saturday night.
