Criminal Injured in Police Firing in Assam’s Dabaka
Guwahati: One suspected criminal was injured in police firing on Saturday after they tried to flee from police custody in Hojai district of Assam.
The incident took place at Salbagan in Dabaka of the district.
The injured identified as Samsul Haque who is a resident of Laskar Pothar in Lanka.
According to reports, he was involved in many robberies.
Reportedly, he was arrested by the Hojai Police on Saturday evening.
Police officials also seized weapons from Samsul’s residence.
Meanwhile, Samsul is currently admitted at the Bhugeswari Fukanani Civil Hospital in Nagaon for further treatment.
It may be mentioned that the robber tells a different story about the shooting incident. He claimed that the cops had called him in a diplomatic manner and staged a phoney encounter.
