Guwahati: In the ongoing war against drugs Assam Police arrested one person in the connection in Assam’s Kamrup (R) district.
The arrestee has been identified as Ratul Ali. Ali is a resident of Hoja’s Satdala village.
Following a tip off from sources Debok police officials launched a search operation and recovered around 12 grams of Brown Sugar from the accused.
The police informed that along with Brown Sugar they further seized a scooty without number plate which was used for the drug peddling.
Meanwhile, the officials stated that the accused was arrested while carrying the drugs from Rangia to Hajo.
Moreover, the market value of the seized drugs is around Rs 1.50 lakhs.
The police also seized two mobile phones, ane debit card and further recovered some cash from Ali.
It may be mentioned that Ratul Ali has been sent to Rangia Police station for further investigation into the matter.
