J&K: Bandipora police arrest LeT terrorist
Bandipora (J&K): A terrorist belonging to the proscribed terrorist organisation Laskar e Taiba (LeT) was apprehended on Monday, according to Bandipora police in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to ANI, police obtained precise information on Sunday regarding the presence of recently recruited LeT, The Resistance Front (TRF) terrorists in the Lawaypora orchards in Bandipora.
Based on information from Bandipora police, a joint cordon and search operation (CASO) was started, involving 14 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and 3 Battalion Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
According to authorities, the terrorist who was caught was named as Amir Tariq Khan.
Notably, the young man’s photo has been circulating on social media since April 13 in connection with his alleged involvement with the TRF terrorist group.
It may be mentioned that a legal action has been initiated into the matter and further investigation is underway.
