Public Holiday Declared on May 4 in BTR
Guwahati: The Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) has declared May 4 (Wednesday) as a public holiday in the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) in honour of President Ram Nath Kovind’s visit to Kachubari in Tamulpur.
All government offices and educational institutions within the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) territory would be closed on the day.
The vacation does not apply to offices and institutions that provide critical services or conduct ongoing board examinations.
President Ram Nath Kovind will pay a visit to the BTR to attend the Bodo Sahitya Sabha’s 61st Annual Conference. Tamulpur will host the Bodo Sahitya Sabha on May 2, 3, and 4.
