Guwahati: A father along with his son were allegedly killed after being hit by a train at Bilasipara in Dhubri district of Assam on Saturday.
The deceased identified as Yusuf Ali (40) and his son Saidur Islam. They were residents of Kokrajhar district’s Jamunatari village.
The incident took place at around 9 am when the Dhubri-Kamakhya fast passenger train was crossing the railway bridge over Sankosh River in Bilasipara.
According to locals, the two individuals were unaware that a train would pass by as they attempted to cross the bridge because they were not residents of the area.
