Madhya Pradesh: 7 die in Fire Incident at Resident in Indore

Guwahati: At least seven people charred to death in a massive fire broke out in Madhya Pradesh on Saturday morning.

The incident took place in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore in which nine people including two women killed in the blaze and nine others rescued. Moreover, the injured were rushed to hospital for further treatment.

According to reports, the reason behind the fire is suspected to be a short circuit in the basement of the building located in Swarn Bagh colony in Indore.

It is to be noted that the incident reportedly took place at around 3.10 am when the residents were asleep.

It may be mentioned that the police officials detained the owner of the building and a case has been registered against him causing death by negligence as no fire safety equipment was installed in the building.

Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan offered his condolences.

The CM twitted, “I pray to God to give place to the departed souls at his feet and give strength to the family members to bear this deep sorrow and to give speedy recovery to the injured.” Chouhan further announced an exigratia of Rs 4 lakhs each to the kin of the deceased.

Moreover, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has condoled the deaths due to a fire incident in Madhya Pradesh. He also prayed for the early recovery of the injured.
