PM pays Homage Tribute to Heroes of First War of Independence
Guwahati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to all of the freedom warriors who took part in the First War of Independence in 1857 on Tuesday. For their extraordinary bravery, this had sparked a feeling of patriotism among citizens and led to the weakening of colonial power.
Modi took to Twitter to say, “The historic First War of Independence began on this day in 1857, igniting a sense of patriotism among our fellow countrymen and contributing to the weakening of colonial power. I salute all those who took part in the events of 1857 for their extraordinary bravery.”
Today, Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu also paid tribute to Indian liberation heroes.
He stated that the country’s valiant freedom fighters launched the First War of Independence on this day in 1857, and that the path to liberate the motherland from British domination began from there.
It may be mentioned that the nation owes great freedom fighters for their immeasurable sacrifices, according to Naidu. He also stated that the best way to honour the independence warriors is to develop the India they envisioned.
