Northeast Frontier Railway’s 1st Vande Bharat Train Completes Trial Run
Guwahati: The inaugural Vande Bharat Train of the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) successfully concluded its trial run from the Howrah-New Jalpaiguri station on Monday, official statement said.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is anticipated to officially launch the train on December 30.
After the Shatabdi Express, the Vande Bharat Express will run between New Jalpaiguri (NJP), Siliguri and Kolkata.
Passenger-friendly amenities including automated doors and WiFi connection will be available on Vande Bharat.
According to the announcement, the nation’s seventh Vande Bharat train completed the 560 kilometres between NJP and Howrah in roughly 8.30 hours during its first trial run today.
To catch a glimpse of the train a huge crowd had assembled at the station.
According to Shuvendu Chowdhury, the trial run was successfully completed Divisional Rail Manager (DRM) Katihar- Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) at NJP and we are now anticipating the last day of service.
