Rishabh Pant Posts Pictures With a Strong Message on Social Media
Guwahati: Team India wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant shared a few images on social media detailing his journey to heal from the wounds he received in a vehicle accident last year. Pant had knee surgery last month and we will likely miss both the Indian Premier League and the ODI World Cup this year.
Pant was involved in a car accident in which his vehicle collided with a divider on December 30 in the morning. The southpaw was travelling to his birthplace from Delhi when the terrible occurrence occurred.
He received emergency care at a nearby clinic and was then transferred to a private hospital in Dehradun before the BCCI made the decision to fly him to Mumbai for further medical attention.
Pant took to Twitter and captioned the photos, “One step forward One step stronger One step better.”
Pant sustained many injuries in the terrible collision, which occurred close to Narsan border of Roorkee near Hammadpur Jhal.
The initial medical update from the BCCI said Pant suffered two cuts on his forehead, a ligament tear in his right knee and has also hurt his right wrist, ankle, and tore apart from abrasion injuries on his back after the car accident.
In recent weeks, the southpaw has been active on social media.
The 25-year-old recently praised two lads on his official Twitter account for saving his life following the automobile incident and posted a picture of them.
Pant stated that his surgery went well and that his recovery was smooth. The Indian cricketer also shared a photo of two boys, named Rajat Kumar & Nishu Kumar. Pant referred to both of them as heroes and said he will always be indebted to them.
His absence on the pitch during the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy match between Australia and India is being felt by the spectators. With a match-winning knock at The Gabba during India’s historic victory over Australia in 2020–21, Pant was a key contributor.
