Guwahati: In the ongoing war against drugs, Assam police arrested a husband-wife duo for allegedly being involved in drugs peddling.
The arrestees identified as Matab Ali and Ratna Begum aged about 26 years (husband and wife), resident of Mahadev Tilla village under Haflong Police station of Dima Hasao district.
According to reports, the duo was arrested from New Haflong railway station approach road in Dima Hasao district of Assam.
Police officials recovered 99 numbers of plastic containers from their possession.
A case has been registered at Haflong Police Station under sections 21b, 22a, 27a, 29 NDPS act.
