Assam CM’s Vigilance Team Raids Office of Goalpara Drug Inspector
Guwahati: The Goalpara Drug Inspector’s office had been raided on Tuesday by the Vigilance and Anti-corruption team.
According to the reports, the police have arrested two of the office’s employees.
The seized staff requested Rs 19,000 for a pharmacy licence, it was revealed after extensive investigation. The demanded the money from a pharmacist named Mohibul Islam.
The detectives captured both of the employees in the act of accepting the bribe while acting undercover.
Both of the accused are fourth grade employee Dipjit Sarkar and Ansaar Ali, a third grade employee.
They have each taken an advance payment of Rs. 4000.
