Holi will be celebrated in India on March 8 this year in accordance with the Hindu calendar.

Holi, an energetic and colourful Indian celebration, symbolises the fervour of life. It’s a day of reconciliation, unity, and equality. It also honours the victory of good over evil. Holika Dahan and Dhulivandan are two separate celebrations during Holi (Rangwali Holi). The burning of wood and dung cakes is done to commemorate Holika Dahan, which occurs the night before Dhulivandan and symbolises the triumph of good over evil. The day after Holika Dahan, there is a loud celebration called Dhulivandan where people splash each other with water while playingfully throwing handfuls of coloured powder (Gulal).

The celebration of Lord Krishna and Radha’s enduring love and the triumph of good over evil will take place on March 7 and 8 of this year as well. Drik Panchang estimates that Choti Holi or Holika Dahan will occur on March 7th, 2023. On March 7, the Holika Dahan mahurat will start at 06:24 and go until 08:51. Meanwhile, Badi Holi/Dhulandi or Rang Wali Holi will be celebrated on March 8
