CBI Questions Ex-Bihar CM Rabri Devi in Land-for-Job Scam

Guwahati: Former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi’s residence was visited by investigators from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for questioning on a suspected land-for-job scam.

Rabri is reportedly being questioned about alleged appointments made at the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) in exchange for gifts of land or sales of land to Lalu Prasad Yadav’s family between 2004 and 2009. Lalu Prasad Yadav held the position of railway minister during this time.

Outside Rabri’s home, there was a noticeable increase in security.

Children of Rabri Devi, Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav and state Forest and Environment Minister Tej Pratap Yadav, were present during the CBI questioning.

Lalu Prasad Yadav, his wife Rabri Devi, and 14 other people were called before a Delhi court last month in relation to the alleged scheme.

The accused were directed to appear before the court on March 15.
