PM Modi to Inaugurate AIIMS in Assam’s Changsari, CM Sarma Reviews Prep
Guwahati: All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Assam will be inaugurated in Changsari by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 14.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and other representatives on March 23 went to the location to inspect the setup for the inauguration ceremony
Medical institution’s progress was examined on March 3 by the health minister Keshab Mahanta and the chief secretary Paban Kumar Barthakur along with senior AIIMS and Kamrup district administration officials.
The minister and the chief secretary gave the employees the order to finish the project by March 31st, 2023.
Currently, 90% of the site’s development has been finished.
“The construction of the hospital is at full pace and 18 departments are now almost functional, including the Out Patient Department (OPD)”, CM Sarma said while speaking to the media.
The chief minister announced in December of last year that the AIIMS, Guwahati would be formally opened in 2023.
