Arunachal CM Lays Foundation Stones for Multiple Projects in Mechuka

Guwahati: Arunachal Chief Minister Pema Khandu lay the first stones for numerous projects in the adjoining Chinese town of Mechuka in the Shi Yomi district on April 7.

CM Khandu laid the foundation stone for hydro projects on Friday which would create electricity and lower carbon emissions in the hilly region. This was one of many projects that were officially inaugurated on Friday.

Chief minister of Arunachal Pema Khandu also opened the Sirikorong MHS Ph-II (2×150 KW) at Lhalung in the Shi Yomi district the executive engineer’s T-IV quarters and the office building for the Mechukha hydropower division.

Additionally, CM lay the foundation stone for SEH MHS (2×250) KW.

Earlier, Arunachal Chief Minister Pema Khandu inaugurated on April 7 the new Superintendent of Police (SP) office building in Daporijo, the state’s Upper Subansiri district headquarters.

Khandu said that because practically all districts now have new office buildings for SPs, the inauguration represents the start of a new chapter in the police administration of Arunachal Pradesh.

“Our next focus is on providing housing facilities for the police personnel and further improving, strengthening community-police partnerships”, CM said while speaking on the occasion.

The CM also inaugurated Tana Agyang View Point in Lower Subansiri district while on an official trip of Kamle, Upper Subansiri, West Siang and Shi Yomi districts.
