Guwahati: A man was fatally killed by his own younger brother at Mariani in Jorhat district of Assam on Saturday.
According to reports, the incident occurred at a tea estate in Mariani when the younger brother fatally hacked his older sibling with a sharp object.
The accused has been identified as Karthik Karmakar who used a machete to attack his brother Bobai Karmakar following a violent disagreement.
A police team reached the scene this morning and recovered the body.
After recovering the body, the police started an investigation and arrested Karthik Karmakar in connection with the heinous crime.
