Indian Youth Congress President Srinivas BV Files Defamation Case Against Angkita Dutta

Guwahati: Indian Youth Congress (IYC) Srinivas BV filed a defamation case on Tuesday against Angkita Dutt the leader of the IYC’s Assam.

This occurs just after Angkita Dutta accused Srinivas of sexism and harassment.

Angkita criticised Priyanka Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi earlier in the day for neglecting to take action against the IYC chief despite her pleas.

In a series of tweets, she wrote, “IYC President Srinivas BV has continually harassed me and was discriminating on the basis of my gender. My values and education doesn’t allow me anymore. The leadership has played deaf ears despite bring front of them many times.”

“In my appointment order it was nowhere mentioned that I was the acting president,” she added.

Angkita Dutta also claimed that Yadav disrespected her and used to address her inappropriately by calling her “Yeah larki…Iss larki koh samjao…yeah kesi larki hah.”

Following the incident, Srinivas filed defamation case against her.

Taking to Twitter, he reshared one of Angkita’s previous post wishing him for his birthday and posted photos of the legal notice captioning, “Whoever is found indulged in propagating/peddling false & defamatory content will be held liable under the relevant laws & will be held accountable for their acts.”
