Union Minister Kiren Rijiju Addressed Meeting in Nalbari
Guwahati, 24 May: Minister of Earth Sciences and member of parliament of Arunachal Pradesh Kiren Rijiju attended a party meeting in Nalbari on Tuesday. He took part in a special party meeting held at Samota in Dharampur constituency and reviewed the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Chandra Mohan Patowary also participated in the meeting held on the basis of Dharmapur Vidhan Sabha constituency no. 61 of Barpeta Lok Sabha constituency under the Lok Sabha Pravas Yojana.
“We were too scared to come to Assam earlier. A different atmosphere prevailed due to the ULFA problem as well as the Bodoland problem, the Dimasa problem,” said Kiren Rijiju. Union Minister Kiren Rijiju criticised the earlier government.
Kiren Rijiju wrote in his twitter handle, “Had interactive and fruitful meetings & other events at various places under Barpeta Lok Sabha Constituency in Assam as part of Lok Sabha Pravas Yojana.”
After the party meeting Kiren Rijiju addressed a press conference. Addressing the press release, Minister Kiren Rijiju said, “In the last three days, I visited the three assembly segments of the Barpeta Lok Sabha and I loved it. It’s nice to have an exchange of views with the people on these three days about the party’s agenda.” “Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s developmental initiatives have benefited and Muslims are joining the BJP now,” he added.
