Court Puts Stay Order on Release of Assamese Film ‘Sri Raghupati’
Entertainment Desk, 1 June: A lower court in Assam has ordered a hold on the release of the upcoming Assamese film “Sri Raghupati”, according to rumours that surfaced on Thursday.
Kamrup (M) District & Sessions Judge Court issued the stay order in response to claims that former producer Suruj Sarma had broken their contract.
Notably, Dhritimaan Sarma the son of Suruj Sarma filed a case citing breach of contract.
After hearing the case, the Metropolitan Magistrates Court ruled to postpone the release of the film “Sri Raghupati,” reports stated.
It should be mentioned that the release date for the Ravi Sarma-starring film “Sri Raghupati” was slated for June 2. Preety Kongana, Priyam Pallavi, Siddhartha Sarma, Arun Nath and Arun Hazarika are just a few of the actors who appear in the film.
Raghupati Rai Baruah, an ACS officer renowned for his integrity and dedication is the main character of the film “Sri Raghupati.” He embarks on an impulsive mission to find missing women. He stumbles onto a women trafficking ring while doing the inquiry which creates more challenging circumstances.
