Odisha Train Accident: 48 Trains Cancelled and 39 Diverted

National Desk, 3 June: Indian Railways cancelled up to 48 trains on June 3 following the devastating triple train collision in Balasore of Odisha on June 2.

Along with the cancelled train, 39 other trains have been diverted and 10 additional trains may have reportedly delayed.

Around 280 people were dead in the horrifying train collision and around 900 people ewere injured in the tragic train accident.

Meanwhile, a high-level investigation into the derailment has been ordered, according to Saturday’s announcement by Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.

The railway minister has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh to the kin of the deceased, Rs 2 lakh to those severely injured and Rs 50,000 to those who sustained minor injuries.
